NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute: Computer vision and finance training (Day 2)

Onur Yilmaz (NVIDIA)
9:00am–5:10pm Monday, April 30, 2018
Location: Columbus Circle at Sheraton

Onur Yilmaz walks you through the fundamentals of deep learning—training neural networks and using results to improve performance and capabilities. Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll apply deep learning to finance to make predictions and exploit arbitrage.

Outline

Day 1

Fundamentals of deep learning for computer vision

  • Implementing common deep learning workflows, such as image classification and object detection
  • Experimenting with data, training parameters, network structure, and other strategies to increase performance and capability
  • Deploying your neural networks to start solving real-world problems

Day 2

Deep learning for finance trading strategy

  • Preparing time series data and testing network performance using training and test datasets
  • Structuring and training a LSTM network to accept vector inputs and make predictions
  • Using the autoencoder as anomaly detector to create an arbitrage strategy
