In the world of ML, one of the exciting places to sit is inside GitHub, the developer’s home for software engineering. The rise of GitHub coincided with the rise of ML. In the last decade, you’ve seen the rise of megapopular ML packages on GitHub like TensorFlow and the Fast.ai libraries, to name a couple.

Omoju Miller provides a data-driven historical trace of the rise of applied ML and dives into the product features being built at GitHub to make the lives of maintainers and ML professionals better.

Omoju Miller is a machine learning engineer with GitHub. Previously, she co-led the nonprofit investment in computer science education for Google and served as a volunteer advisor to the Obama administration’s White House Presidential Innovation Fellows. She’s a member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network in AI.
