Future breakthroughs in healthcare such as new drug development and personalized treatment rely heavily on our ability to analyze diverse medical data with greater flexibility, scale and speed. The advent of electronic medical records and new data standards have brought significant improvements in how researchers are able to work with this data but massive inconsistencies in data standards and formatting still remain. Clinical trial data continues to be one of the most challenging data sources for its diversity in structure, lack of standard data types and immense volume.

As a human data science company, IQVIA routinely cleans and prepares clinical trial data to help government agencies, pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions find insights and improve healthcare outcomes for patients around the world. Matt Derda and Yogesh Prasad explain how IQVIA built its Clean Patient Tracker. Join in to learn how the company successfully executed on an initiative to reduce the turnaround time of executing analysis for their clients by 50%, including how Yogesh’s team approached this initiative and why their first step focused on modernizing the technology and processes for how they wrangle clinical trial data for analysis.
