Description
Agile development has completed its software development cycle—but it’s still taking weeks for the code to get into production. With technical best practices you could accelerate and automate everything, but you still need to be prepared if the process is either not clearly defined or simply broken.
David Jungwirth outlines the story of how Enterprise Studio by HCL Technologies guided a successful European retailer with 10,000+ stores in 50 countries over two and a half years to improve from chaotic manual releases toward streamlined push-button releases by investing into several small improvement initiatives. In total, the number of releases per year were doubled, the deployment time reduced by 99%, and the deployment errors reduced to nearly zero.
Although every transformation is unique, all of them have several commonalities. David highlights the key steps for you to focus on for a successful continuous delivery journey.
