Every few weeks, we read about the consequences of unintended data leaks. As companies collect and analyze more data from users and other sources, security and privacy issues are emerging as important considerations for consumers throughout the world. Adding to the sense of urgency, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), “designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe,” has an enforcement start date of May 25, 2018.

Ben Lorica shares emerging security best practices for business intelligence, machine learning, and mobile computing products and explores new tools, methods, and products that can help ease the way for companies interested in deploying secure and privacy-preserving analytics.
