Kubernetes follows a simple, powerful model in which users and automated systems interact with a declarative API to set desired state, and controllers continuously work to bring the system into alignment with the desired state. Jago Macleod shares recent work that allows users to extend the Kubernetes API with custom resources and controllers and leverage this pattern. Its growing popularity in Kubernetes and other projects in the space suggests you will see more of it in the future.

This keynote is sponsored by Google Cloud.
