Building a data platform for tomorrow’s health service
Who is this presentation for?
- DevOps practitioners, heads and directors of engineering, CTOs, and chief architects
Babylon is an AI-driven, digital-first healthcare company. We produce and consume equally large amounts of data, and when the need came to build a platform for data analysis and research, we all knew how important it was. But how do you build such a platform? What problems will it be solving and how? And, most importantly, how do you integrate it into your existing infrastructure? Natalie Godec will take you through the process of designing and building a Data Engineering platform in healthcare.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and the public cloud
What you'll learn
- Learn that infrastructure engineering is often not a differentiator for companies and is often a good candidate for community-driven work
Natalie Godec is a platform engineer at Babylon Health, where she focuses on infrastructure and helping other teams build the systems that they need. She’s a DevOps engineer with a passion to automate the automation, and is a big fan of using Open Source and community projects to solve complex problems in the modern world of technology. She comes from the financial industry and is now embracing the fast-paced exciting world of a start up on a mission. She is also a keen photographer, so if you see her running around with a camera – that is why.
