Play the Up, Up, and Away Game

As you expand your horizons at the O’Reilly Fluent and Velocity conferences, have some fun with the Up, Up and Away points challenge game. The more you participate and engage, the more points you’ll earn, and the more you’ll advance in the ranks. The higher the rank, the cooler the prizes.

How to play

Step 1: Download the O'Reilly Events App

Launch the O’Reilly Events app, click on the game tile, and create your game alias to get started. There you will find the list of activities where you can earn points.

Step 2: Earn points

As you participate in each of the activities, look out for a sign with an airplane icon (see above) and a unique code. Enter the code into the app to automatically earn points.

Step 3: Be entered for a chance to win

At the close of the game (5:00pm PDT on June 14), your rank will determine the prize pool for which you are eligible. See below for prize details.

Prizes

Frequent Flyer (100-200 points): Travel Cocktail Kits

Frequent Flyer Prizes will be awarded during the Closing Reception (June 14 at 5:15pm)

Must be present to collect prize, one per participant while supplies last.

Adventurer (201- 300 points): Wireless Headphones (3 winners)

Attendees with a ranking of Adventurer will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win 1 of 3 wireless noise canceling headphones. Winners will be selected by random drawing after the conference. Need not be present to win.

World Explorer (301-400 points): Smart Suitcase (1 winner)

Attendees with a ranking of World Explorer will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win The Whole Family of Smart Suitcases. Winner will be selected by random drawing after the conference. Need not be present to win.

Game guidelines

• You must be an O'Reilly Fluent or Velocity San Jose 2018 attendee, have downloaded the event app to your mobile device and have a valid badge to be eligible to participate.
• Expo Plus pass holders, members of the media, event staff and crew, expo/sponsor booth staff (expo/sponsors), and employees of O’Reilly Media are not eligible to participate.
• Entry period is open for the duration of the conference, June 11-14, 2018, ending at 5:00pm PDT on June 14, 2018
• You will not be required by exhibitors, sponsors, or staff members to provide any personal information to participate. This includes badge scanning.
• O’Reilly Media reserves the right to cancel or modify this promotion if for any reason it cannot be conducted as described. All decisions by O’Reilly are final.
• Game is void where prohibited by law.

• Adventurer and World Explorer winners will be randomly selected by O’Reilly Media, Inc. and notified via email (at the address used for conference registration) on June 20, 2018. Must have a valid US shipping address to be eligible to win. Winners need not be present to win. Winners must claim prizes within 30 days of receiving notification.
