It is an exciting time to be a CSS developer. Our browsers are updating rapidly, bringing us new things to play with with every new release. This means that our old ideas of browser support need to be updated too.

Rachel Andrew shares a modern roadmap for browser support—using methods built into CSS to detect feature support—that enables you to create sites that can enhance themselves as the platform improves—without leaving people stuck on older browsers in the cold. Along the way, Rachel demonstrates new CSS features such as CSS Grid layout, shapes, and custom properties and explains how to use them along with feature queries to create websites that your users and their browsers will grow into.
