When developers work with an outdoor map they place annotations on the map using postal addresses and latitude/longitude points. Working with indoor maps, there is no longer a convenient globally defined address scheme or even a positioning coordinate system. This talk discusses the framework for a developer to place real world objects on an indoor map.
Dave Sutter is the Chief Technical Officer at Micello. He has been working on Maps/GeoCoding/GPS for most of his career.
Dave was the founder of a company, Intransix, that created a GPS fitness application. This application was a finalist in the Navteq Global Challenge and was acquired by Trimble Navigation.
Most recently, he worked at Navteq/Nokia on their map processing and traffic collection/reporting.
Dave got his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Stanford.
