The World in 3D: Seamless 3D Models from Aerial and Street View Images

Online users interact with an increasing amount of images from different sources such as maps, aerials, Google Earth 3D, Bing Maps as well as street view. Imagine if you would combine these representations into an integrated photo realistic 3D world. We present new immersive fly-to-walk 3D user experiences and state of the art automatic 3D generation based on a combination of different image sources.

Mattias Åström is a serial entrepreneur who has successfully founded, developed and sold four technology companies. Prior to joining C3 Technologies, Mr. Åström was CEO of Nordnav, a venture backed GPS spin-out from Stanford, which he took to a successful exit in 2007. Earlier in his career, Mr. Åström worked in Technology Venture Capital in London, Sophia Antipolis and Amsterdam. Mr. Åström holds a M.Sc degree from Stockholm School of Economics and an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
