Building Maps to Analyze Your Data

General
Location: Ballroom V Level: Novice

Having access to online maps is a start, but often you may need to include functionality that goes beyond simply displaying a map with points. The session will provide a fast-paced introduction to the essentials of how to create rich map-based Web applications using the ArcGIS API for Flex. Attendees will learn how to integrate free online resources from ESRI such as interactive maps and GIS tasks in their existing applications. Also, attendees will be exposed to how to manage rich graphics and use multiple graphic layers. The session will take a hands-on approach to show how GIS/mapping components can be integrated into a Flex environment through demonstrations and exercises. The session materials will be available prior to the class to download and examine and attendees can use their own computers to create their own applications.
