Thank you for joining us for Web 2.0 Expo San Francisco. Below is information to help you get the most out of your time at the conference.

Registration Location and Hours

Registration and check-in for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and media is located in the Level 1 lobby.


  • Monday 5/3: 7:30am - 5:00pm
  • Tuesday 5/4: 7:30am - 5:15pm
  • Wednesday 5/5: 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • Thursday 5/6: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Online Attendee Directory

Use the online Attendee Directory to quickly and easily contact, meet, and network with other attendees before, during, and after the event.

Set Your Personal Schedule

Create your own Web 2.0 Expo agenda using the personal scheduler function. Mark the presentations and events you want to attend by clicking on the calendar icon next to each listing on the website. You can then access it by clicking on "personal schedule" link on your Attendee Directory dashboard or in the Schedule View page .

Rate Sessions and Leave Comments

Rate the sessions, workshops, intensives, and keynotes you attended by going to any session description page and clicking on the set of stars in the upper right-hand corner. Only registered attendees may rate and comment on sessions, so if you aren't already logged in, you'll be asked to do so. Your username/email and password are the same ones you used to register for Web 2.0 Expo SF.

Have a question or comment for a speaker? Post them in the "Add New Comment" field found at the bottom of any session detail page (see an example). Please keep in mind that your comments will be public.

Networking Events

Make sure you block off your evenings to mingle with thousands of other attendees at our networking events. Most events are free (some community partner events may charge a nominal cover).


Web2Open is Web 2.0 Expo's "unconference," where you can connect with other participants to discuss Web 2.0 topics and questions. Web2Open is open to all attendees with a badge. For more information on how to participate, stop by the Level 2 alcoves at Moscone West on Tuesday and Wednesday or visit us online.

Expo Hall Hours

Meet face-to-face with over 80 exhibitors in the Expo Hall. They'll be showcasing and demoing the latest tools and solutions to help you streamline your business and make smarter choices. The Expo Hall will also feature a pavilion of non-profit companies and a Solutions Showcase Theater where you can hear a series of 10-minute presentations from sponsors and exhibitors.

Networking Ribbons

Add a networking ribbon (or two or three) to your badge and get conversations started. And be sure to check-out Cisco’s sponsored ribbon. Ribbons are located in the level 1 foyer.

Power Up Area

If you need a place to charge your battery while at Moscone West, head to the Level 2 lobby where there will be plenty of power strips available.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless connectivity to the Internet will be available throughout Moscone West, with the exception of the Expo Hall. Keep in mind that you're sharing the network with your fellow conference attendees, so please refrain from downloading large files or using bittorrent while on the conference network. If you need assistance getting online, please visit the Network Help Desk on Level 2.

Attendee Meeting Space

Need a place to convene? The Attendee Meeting Space, located on Level 3, is available to all attendees on a first come, first served basis. Sign up for a meeting table and time slot on the clipboard outside the meeting area.

Alumni Lounge

If you have an alumni designation on your badge, you are able to access our alumni lounge, featuring power, Internet connectivity, all-day coffee, and light snacks. The alumni lounge, located in room 2024 on level 2, will be open:

  • Tuesday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Thursday: 10:30 am – 4:00 pm

Speaker Slides, Video, and Live Streaming Info

During the conference, all keynotes will be streamed live. After the conference, session files will be available for download and select video will be available for viewing. Look for links on the Web 2.0 Expo SF home page.
