Safa Rashtchy is a pioneer in exploring and covering technology and media investment opportunities in international markets, in particular in China and India where he has established a formidable network and strong following, as well as a participating as a keynote speaker at globally-recognized marquee events.

Mr. Rashtchy, an expert in online media and technology, retired as a managing director from financial services leader Piper Jaffray and Company, where he led expansion efforts in Internet media and marketing with a specific focus on online media and search technologies in U.S and China .

Mr. Rashtchy has written extensively on Internet media and technology, online advertising, Internet search and the Chinese Internet market. In 2007, he and associates at Piper published the groundbreaking report, “The User Revolution: – The New Advertising Ecosystem and the Rise of the Internet as a Mass Medium.” He also wrote the highly acclaimed weekly publication, The Silk Road.

Prior to Piper Jaffray, Mr. Rashtchy was involved in other online technology related pursuits. He was also president and founder of ColorWorks Graphics, a digital imaging company in Boston .

Mr. Rashtchy is quoted regularly by The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Time, Business Week and Fortune. Mr. Rashtchy also serves on the board of Search Engine Marketing Professional Organizations (SEMPO), president of the board of directors of Wings Learning Center, a non-profit school for children with Autism, in San Mateo, CA; on the board of directors of InvestmentYogi, an Indian online financial planning company; and on the board of advisors of ChinaVenture, a Shanghai-based venture advisory company.
