Johann Romefort

A seasoned coder and proud holder of the “biggest hair CTO in technology” title, Johann met Loic when Seesmic was still merely 2 pages of notes in a Moleskine. Always thrilled by a challenge, Johann joined with Loic to lead the company’s technology development, fascinated by tackling the adventure building a huge idea from scratch.

Sometimes better known as “the CTO who never sleeps”, Johann loves to think out-of-the box, is well-versed in domains like semantic web, distributed systems, and messaging systems. On a higher level, aestheticism in computing is what most interests Johann – from architecture design to interface metaphors.

Johann also truly embraces the concept of social media as a powerful way to build the best development team. Taking full advantage of Skype, Johann has been able to form an incredibly talented global team of developers and stay in touch with them easily.

Prior to Seesmic, Johann spent two years as a freelance ninja coder, building kick ass prototypes and POCs for startups in online video industry.
