In recent years a clear trend has emerged in leading organizations to test and validate their websites. There has been a demand for robust and cost effective solutions. This trend has resulted in an increase of user testing solutions and methods. These tools allow organizations to directly connect with their customers in their natural context. Measuring and quantifying the User Experience has been made accessible and obtainable with these solutions.

The book, ‘Beyond the Usability Lab’ discusses using more than one method to provide a complete picture of the User Experience. To do this, one must first understand what methods they can use and when to use them. In this panel we will discuss and answer questions on how and why to use a versatile research solution. You will learn how companies such as PayPal and KeyLime Interactive use these solutions to obtain a complete picture of the User Experience.
