Healthcare has had a presence on the web for a long time, but for a long time, this presence has been primarily encyclopedic; one-way and referential in nature. With the increased funding of electronic initiatives both by government and private organizations, individuals will increasingly have more control and ownership over their personal health history.

With increased access over our personal information, new tools and technologies will emerge to help us leverage and control our most personal data. How will empowering, user-centric tools change the way healthcare is provided to individuals? Do these tools ultimately help us stay healthier?
