According to a report released this month from eMarketer, 41% of marketers worldwide plan to increase spending on social media as opposed to only 22.6% who plan to decrease spend.

Despite these statistics, many brands are still just “dipping their toes in the water” when it comes to social media strategy.

Recent developments in “social web” technology, such as Facebook Connect have revolutionized what is possible when creating social content and engaging an audience. The “walled gardens” on the web are coming down, one by one, allowing people to “login” once but connect everywhere across the web. People are now able to engage with content across platforms in real time, which has led to a new term called “Cross Platform Engagement,” or CPE.

However, what does this mean for brands? How does the way you scale and measure your brand’s presence in the social web?

This session will provide lessons learned from social media programs that enabled “Cross Platform Engagement” and drove results for large brands.
