For years we architected software as a highly scalable distributed model. We moved the right parts of the architecture to the right parts of our network and onto the right kinds of hardware. Yet we never did this with arguably the most important part of software, the user experience. We expected a mobile executive to work through the same experience as a school kid or an at home mom. Today’s web2 and RIA architectures allow us to design and build the right user experience, for the right person, on the right device and in the right location, from the web to the desktop. The idea of software as a Service (Saas) has now really become Software And a Service (SAas). Learn how software with rich, sticky experiences makes it fundamentally easier to attract more users, keep them with you longer, and get them to spend more money. In this session, we’ll review recent data from Forrester Research showing how focusing on user experience can add millions to your bottom line. Then we will show a handful of real-world applications with great user experiences that truly connected the dot.
