I’ll cover [briefly]:
1.) The definition of a microaggression, and how employees/users, and thus your company, are affected
2.) Examples of actual microaggressions I’ve seen in technical communications throughout my career
3.) How to fix the examples I bring up
4.) How to move towards a constructive culture of blameless respect/inclusion postmortems and self-reinforcing positive team cultures of inclusivity.
Because this is an ignite talk, it will be fast and gloss over some of the deeper issues, but should be a good starting point of things to look out for.
