Description

At this point, distributed systems are well-hyped technology, but many are still not exactly sure how to get started. Join Ria Bhatia to learn what “distributed application” actually means and explore the day-one gains you get as a developer or operator. Ria dives into distributed applications to figure out why they are distributed in the first place and then leads a live-coding session to build an app from scratch. You’ll discover what makes an application distributed and gain some experience with demos you can deploy on your own. You’ll leave with a good sense of the first questions to ask when designing a distributed application.
