Description

At first, it seemed like a good idea: the chance to build the website for one of your favorite meetups. Great. Then the realization dawned. It’s not just a great meetup; it’s a WebPerf meetup, hosting some of the most performance-minded developers in our industry.

Challenge accepted.

Adam Onishi walks you through the project from design to deployment, covering design considerations, font choices, frontend optimization, and performance testing before exploring how service workers can be used to improve site performance with client-side caching techniques.
