Prerequisite knowledge

Attendees should be familiar with Kubernetes and Vault, ideally having previously experimented with both. Attendees do not need to be _experts_ at this tools, but having a minimal understanding will be helpful.

Materials or downloads needed in advance

- Laptop with WiFi - An SSH client and the ability to SSH to public IP addresses (no corporate firewalls or proxies) - Public GitHub.com account

Description

Kubernetes is a popular application scheduler and orchestration tool, but it’s built-in secret storage does not provide the robustness many organizations require. This interactive workshop walks attendees through the process of running HashiCorp Vault as a service in Kubernetes and accessing credentials and secrets.
