Prerequisite knowledge

Attendees should be familiar with HTTP protocol and modern browser architecture, enterprise software architecture, the SaaS model, performance instrumentation, optimization, and monitoring.

Salesforce executes 4 billion+ transactions daily while keeping the average transaction speed under 300 ms and page speed under 2 seconds. As Salesforce’s cloud services grow in complexity and scale, measuring and monitoring their performance becomes increasingly hard. Ashray Mathur and Diego Ferreiro Val discuss how Salesforce continues to improve and the lessons it has learned along the way. You’ll leave knowing how measuring the right things impacts real customer experiences and with a better understanding of the architecture Salesforce uses for measuring and monitoring single-page apps.

Topics include:

  • How Salesforce automates, measures, and monitors real customer performance experiences on the Salesforce Lightning Platform
  • How Salesforce analyzes and drills down to the real root cause of these issues and realizes the bottom-line impact from the fixes and optimizations it makes
  • An introduction to Salesforce’s single-page app (SPA) architecture and its challenges, how it automated its platform at scale, and the lessons it has learned along the way

This session is sponsored by Salesforce.

In the spirit of bringing more attendees, note that most of the ideas, design concepts and tools and that we will present are not specific to Salesforce (altough we will put it as our working example) and could be leveraged in any other environment or framework.
