The mobile web is notoriously difficult to build apps that look good and
feel FAST. The team behind PhoneGap could feel this pain acutely and along
with their super powered user experience team at Adobe they’ve cooked up a
brand new project called Topcoat. From the beginning Topcoat is designed
for speed. Every user interface element is discreetly benchmarked using
Chrome’s Telemetry API and a very modular build system is in place
separating CSS reset, from layout, from aesthetic, and finally grouped by
target platform.

In this talk, Brian LeRoux will walk you through the
performance considerations of building a super fast app using Topcoat with
PhoneGap.
