Velocity Ask The Audience Quiz

Perry Dyball (Seatwave Ltd), Stephen Thair (DevOpsGuys)
Location: 211 Level: Intermediate
Average rating: ***..
(3.93, 28 ratings)

Following on from a successful and hugely popular outing for a web performance and operations quiz at the WebPerfDays “Un-Conference” after last year’s Velocity EU in London, this year Perry Dyball & Steve Thair will be the quiz masters in Velocity’s first, and quite possibly the last, all singing and all dancing (ok maybe no dancing…. and definitely no singing) live quiz show “Velocity Ask The Audience”.

Using technology from you the audience will answer a series of multiple choice questions using a very simple red/green/blue/yellow touch interface via your smart phone, tablet or laptop (play using mouse) connected over wifi. As well as getting it right or wrong, being Velocity, there is also a speed element in that whoever answers correctly first gains more points in the overall score. After each question there will be a short fun analysis of the distribution of audience answers, and a display of the current leader board.

Quiz rounds will give everyone a chance to take part whatever your specialist subject. Topics to be covered will be Web Performance, DevOps, Mobile and Miscellanea. During the quiz there will be some questions that get a little sneaky so make sure you read the questions properly and suffice it to say watch out when you choose the colour of your answer!

Top performers will win some great prizes so come on down, phone a friend, and don’t be the weakest link!
