There are millions and millions of them on the web, they have changed the way we deliver, share and perceive audio and video – the embeddable player widgets. The people behind omnipresent Youtube, Vimeo and SoundCloud players will discuss the current challenges in the embeddable content world – scalability, transition from Flash to HTML5, web performance and platform integrations.

Matas Petrikas spent most of the last decade developing web projects for global corporations, German government, athletes and artists. In the early 2008 he has joined a Berlin startup SoundCloud as a lead web developer building world’s most active web audio platform. Now Matas is a product manager responsible for the HTML5 applications at SoundCloud.

Greg is a fearless web warrior, fighting for browser and website progress. While training at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, he published articles with the Opera Web Standards Curriculum. Subsequently, he went on to battle alongside many different web companies, including Amazon, Yahoo, and Google. His current alliance is with YouTube, where he spearheads the movement for HTML5 video capabilities.
