Performance Optimization session. They will review latest performance trends and show how to use performance analysis and optimization tools to speed up worlds most popular web sites – bring yours too and they will look at them as well. In addition to page load time other
incremental rendering metrics will covered, as well as the role of automated
performance optimization tools.
This is a hands on session, we are modeling it after Meet4SPEED sessions ran at Web
Performance meetups around the world so don’t forget your laptop.
Sergey Chernyshev (@sergeyche) works at truTV (Turner) and responsible for web technology for their highly trafficked web site (trutv.com). He has more then 15 years of web technology experience and active open source developer and web technology enthusiast.
Sergey is an organizer of New York Web Performance Meetup, first local Web Performance group that meets monthly to discuss performance-related topics. He also helps out groups organizers around the world kickstart their local WPO communities.
He’s creator and primary developer of ShowSlow, an open source tool that helps monitor WebPageTest metrics, YSlow grades, Page Speed scores and various other website performance metrics over time.
Andy is UK-based freelance performance consultant. He focuses on ecommerce sites, helping them to measure and improve their performance.
Rick Viscomi is a front end engineer focused on web performance, currently working at Google on the YouTube team.
