We're looking forward to another great Velocity Conference. Below is information to help you get the most out of your time at Velocity 2013.
Stop by Velocity Registration to pick up your badge and other materials. Registration is located in the Exhibit Hall A Lobby, Level 1.
If you are speaking at Velocity, please check-in and pick up your badge at the Speaker Lounge, located in the Mission City Ballroom, M1-2, Level 1.
Make sure to stop by the Exhibit Hall to check out the exhibitors displaying the latest in web performance and operations related tools and technologies. See who will be exhibiting.
Get connected with Velocity speakers, sponsors, and other attendees! Make sure to join us at one (or all) of the events planned at Velocity, including the Poolside Welcome Reception, Ignite Velocity, the Exhibit Hall Reception, BoFs, book signings at the O'Reilly Booth, the Women's Communities Meetup and Music Meets Tech Party.
Velocity Office Hours, located in the Exhibit Hall, gives you a chance to meet face-to-face with some of our speakers to discuss the speaker's area of expertise, give feedback about their sessions, or ask questions. Sign-up now and we'll send you a reminder! Seating is limited.
Play our Web Powers Button Game at Velocity this year and test your scavenger and negotiation skills! We've created 13 unique buttons, each with an icon representing an attribute or "super power" that every successful web ops and performance professional should possess, and three more representing "anti-hero" powers. Collect the whole set, win a limited edition Velocity shirt, and enter to win other great prizes.
Be sure to pick up your official Velocity 2013 attendee t-shirt (sponsored by Edgecast) in the Exhibit Hall during these hours:
Want Velocity info to go? Download our mobile event app packed with schedule and other essential data.
Wireless Internet will be available throughout the conference area. There is no password required to access the Velocity wireless network. Keep in mind that you're sharing the network with your fellow Velocity attendees, so please refrain from downloading large files while on the conference network. If you need assistance getting online, please visit the customer service desk in Registration or send a message to @velocityconf.
We'll be live streaming all of the keynote presentations on the video page. All presentations which are live streamed will also be available for viewing on the Velocity YouTube channel after the conference.
We'll be posting speaker slides as we get them, however keep in mind not all speakers choose to make their slides available for download.
All tutorials, sessions, and keynotes at Velocity are being recorded. This video compilation will be available for purchase about three weeks after the conference ends. Please note: If you have an All-Access Pass, the complete video compilation is already included with your pass. There is no need to purchase it separately.
The Online Attendee Directory for Velocity will be available approximately one month before the event begins. See who else will be at Velocity this year, set up your personal profile, message other attendees, and manage your contacts. You must be registered for the event and have opted-in to the Attendee Directory in order to begin using it.
Create your own Velocity agenda using the personal scheduler function. Mark the presentations and events you want to attend by clicking on the calendar icon next to each listing on the website. You can then access it by clicking on the "personal schedule" link in the Schedule View page.
Printed versions of the daily schedule will also be available throughout the conference area.
Have a question or comment for a speaker? Post them in the "Add New Comment" field found at the bottom of any session detail page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public.
You can also rate any of the sessions you attend on the Velocity mobile app. Just click on the set of stars on the session description page to submit your rating.
