Jason Weber is a performance lead on the Microsoft Internet Explorer team. Jason is working across the browser subsystems to ensure Internet Explorer is ready for the performance demands of modern sites and apps, including hardware accelerated graphics and compiled javascript. Jason has been with Microsoft for seventeen years. Before joining the Internet Explorer team Jason worked on Microsoft Office, Visual Studio, and was a member of Chairman Bill Gates technical staff.

Internet Explorer 8 was a great step forward. They were the first browser to support parallel script downloading. Jason and others on the team are extremely focused on performance, and they have great insights into what matters. We’ve seen the IE 9 platform previews . Come hear Jason talk about what’s critical when it comes to performance, and what more we can expect to see in Internet Explorer 9.
