Prerequisite Knowledge

Some understanding of the problems of delivering into China would be beneficial, although I will be covering that as part of the talk.

Description

China is a huge market, with a lot of potential – however, when it comes to delivering your website, it not just another country.

This talk will go through the challenges inherent in delivery into China, including both the legal requirements and the network constraints.

We will cover the possible solutions, including delivering from the Rim of China, setting up your own origin within China, or using a content delivery network, and the pros and cons of each. We’ll talk about common pitfalls that people encounter, some best practices on how to get the most out of delivering to the Chinese, and show some real-world results that applying these best practices have achieved.
