Description

PCI compliance is a must if your web application needs to process credit card information. Yet, building PCI-compliant infrastructure for your web applications can feel like a daunting task, especially as PCI compliance is often synonymous with complexity and rigidity.

In the summer of 2014, the OpsEng team at Wave took on the challenge of building a PCI-compliant architecture on AWS with almost no previous experience in AWS or PCI compliance.

In this presentation, Nathan Duthoit will focus on the challenges of building a PCI-compliant architecture, and how to overcome them.

  • Understanding the PCI DSS
  • Leveraging existing tools and services
  • “Infrastructure as Code” as winning strategy
  • Focus on automation
