Patrick is an entrepreneur at heart; prior to joining New Relic, he started two companies in the SaaS monitoring/APM space. He loves his role at New Relic because he gets to create new product experiences every day. He loves all things related to cloud computing, SaaS, and enterprise software.

Patrick has spent his career embracing open source, including major contributions to Selenium and Struts 2. He has written two books on web and open source programming. He earned a BS, Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego.
