The aim is to provide an overview of the challenges, opportunities and the new digital realities, as well as the technology projects and initiatives that Grupo Santillana (leader in the Spanish markets) is undertaking to respond to this new framework from an national and international perspective as publisher in 24 countries (including US and Brazil). This session will tackle from product and service development, legal frameworks for operating the book business local and globally and the evolution to digital, pricing, distribution and relations with retail channels, both traditional retail channel and the new actors from the digital business.
Matilde Sanz is Digital Director for Grupo Santillana in the trade segment. She has research the digital market for books in the Education and trade segment for years and worked for publishing houses such as Oxford University Press.
