In this talk, I will describe how we use data at Etsy to inform product development of the website and apps, from ideation to experimentation to launch, and everything in between. This talk will include specific examples of how we make decisions across the company using analytics as a critical input. I will also trace the evolution of Etsy’s data culture right up to the structure of the data team today and briefly describe our stellar data infrastructure and tooling.
Nellwyn is Director of Analytics at Etsy. She leads a team of data analysts who partner with product, marketing, and engineering to scout, build, instrument and improve Etsy’s product portfolio. Before Etsy, she worked on analytics and product teams at two small NYC start-ups. She is a graduate of Harvard College, and holds a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
