We will walk through tools and techniques that extend user interfaces to enable effective work with large data sets. We will cover approaches for making both data and workflows more manageable, including sampling, summarization, task modeling, and predictive interaction. We will also discuss the implications of data to the design process, from ideation to data-driven prototyping.
