Human Intelligence as a Signal to Predictive Analytics

Sponsored, Regent Parlor (NY Hilton)

Predictive Analytics is a growing segment of the big data analytics market. However, simply extracting time/date references and plotting them on a future time plot might not be enough for high-risk environments like the Intelligence Community and Financial Service market. In order to get a comprehensive understanding of potential future events it is necessary to include Human Intelligence as well as leveraging a higher level of entity resolution. Simple entity extraction does not allow for a level of automated understanding of the important events based on their occurrence in context. HumINT can add complications of multiple languages and dialects which require software that resolves entities without bias and can be easily be trained to adapt to new inputs.

This presentation will provide a detailed understanding of the latest techniques in entity resolution and simplified training of machine learning models and the direct impact on the quality of a comprehensive predictive analytics solution. Specific use cases in the financial services and intelligence communities will be featured.

Specific issues discussed:-Entity Resolution including geo and temporal data – Latest techniques in simplified model training – Adapting varied HumINT sources to the goal of Predictive Analytics
