Effective analytics requires forethought, which seems at odds with agile software development’s emphasis on velocity. However, as this talk demonstrates, the two can and do mesh nicely. Once you understand the reasons why core agile principles work, you can safely modify them for special fields like analytics. In this talk, I talk about process and and technical subjects, including emergent design, test-driven development, and other agile techniques. Both agility and analytics are necessities; I show how to bridge the friction between them.
