Sharmila Shahani-Mulligan is CEO & Founder of ClearStory Data, which helps businesses broaden insights by interactively exploring and analyzing Big Data from a combination of private, public/web and premium sources. Prior to ClearStory Data, Sharmila was EVP at Aster Data and prior to that, CMO of the largest business unit within HP Software and was responsible for a $3+ billion software products portfolio. Prior to HP, she was CMO/EVP at Opsware, where she joined Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz to re-position Loudcloud into a software company and formed Opsware in 2002, which was eventually acquired by HP for $1.65 billion. She has also held executive positions at Netscape, Kiva Software which was acquired by Netscape, AOL and Totality.
