When are data marts justified? How do you use your data warehouse for more than BI? Should your data org be centralized or decentralized? How does your warehouse and Hadoop fit together? When is it appropriate to leverage open source? How do you combine behavioral and transactional data? How do you create a culture of analytics – discovery, sharing, and ultimately action? These are common concerns – questions eBay has grappled with and answered. In this presentation, Bob Page, VP Data & Analytics Platforms for eBay, will walk through the “behind the scenes” decisions and outcomes in use at the world’s largest online marketplace.
As eBay’s vice president of Data & Analytics Platforms, Bob Page brings more than 15 years of passion for analysis to the world’s largest online marketplace. Bob leads eBay’s data and analytics infrastructure, and is responsible for the strategy and policies that power data-driven decisions.
