Financial services companies are faced with the task of balancing data agility and data governance. Incorporating emerging third-party data sources, such as ESG data, into the mix makes this even more challenging. Nuveen, a leader in the responsible investment space, encountered this challenge when building its award-winning responsible investment dashboard. The dashboard, leveraged by Nuveen’s portfolio managers and analysts, provides a new proprietary view of ESG criteria allowing them to achieve competitive investment results for their clients.

To build this platform, Nuveen needed to quickly onboard new datasets from a variety of ESG sources into a centralized repository and enrich the data while still preserving the raw datasets. It required quick self-service access for users, while still tracking data lineage and ensuring data quality.

Santanu Sengupta and Ben Sharma detail the development journey and provide best practices on integrating and accelerating ESG data with an agile, governed data platform.

This session is sponsored by Zaloni.
