The largest infrastructure paradigm change of the 21st century is the shift to the cloud. Companies now face the difficult and daunting decision of which cloud to go with. This decision is not just financial and in many cases rests on the underlying infrastructure. Drawing on their experience building production services, Jason Wang, Suraj Acharya, and Tony Wu compare the relative strengths and weaknesses of AWS and Azure and talk about what they’ve learned from working with both.
Topics include:
Jason Wang is a software engineer at Cloudera focusing on the cloud.
Tony Wu is an engineering manager at Cloudera, where he manages the Altus core engineering team. Previously, Tony was a team lead for the partner engineering team at Cloudera. He’s responsible for Microsoft Azure integration for Cloudera Director.
