What you'll learn

  • Understand the benefits of analyzing data in an immersive reality setup

Immersive reality enables powerful new information design concepts. Most importantly, the new technology enables the telling of powerful stories using more insightful thinking. Building on principles from evolutionary neuroscience, this new medium made it possible to tap into human abilities of spatial perception for creating entirely new ways of visualizing data.

Drawing on collaboration with MIT faculty and leading financial institutions, John Horcher shares a framework quantifying why immersive reality deployments in financial markets have accelerated time to insight by several orders of magnitude. John then explores the exciting new potential for mastering complexity that the “cognitive upgrade” immersive reality provides, offering new ways of rapidly understanding complex data and interrelationships.
