Designing data visualizations presents unique and interesting challenges. Julie Rodriguez introduces new visualization methods that provide greater clarity to your data, demonstrating how to show associations and links between datasets to understand the impact one value has on another, how to communicate time-lapsed data to understand the context of an event, and how to display multiple variables to analyze and compare attributes. Consider the ideas as an expanded set of design patterns that you can use in your own work to meaningfully display your data and offer a deeper understanding than with the standard charts.
