Deutsche Börse is one of the world’s leading stock exchanges, providing investors and organizations with access to global markets. One of its core revenue drivers is supplying clients with market data mined from internal electronic trading systems. However, Deutsche Börse recently set loftier goals in how it could leverage the diverse data it manages to offer clients new products and services. To meet these goals, Deutsche Börse assembled a data science team, the Content Lab, dedicated to advanced analytics that would drive new products in risk management and investment decision making.

Konrad Sippel discusses the people, analytics technologies, and processes that drive the Content Lab’s success, focusing on how embracing self-service data preparation has facilitated unprecedented collaboration between data scientists and business experts, allowing Deutsche Börse to more quickly discover new revenue opportunities within its data.
