Over 2016, TensorFlow went from an early release to being the most popular machine-learning library. With strong distributed support, improved performance, wider platform coverage, and more added through the year, TensorFlow has seen widespread adoption across the industry. Sherry Moore discusses TensorFlow progress and adoption over 2016 and looks ahead to TensorFlow efforts in future areas of importance, such as performance, usability, and ubiquity.
Sherry Moore is a software engineer on the Google Brain team. Her other projects at Google include Google Fiber and Google Ads Extractor. Previously, she spent 14 years as a systems and kernel engineer at Sun Microsystems.
