Want to learn how to use Amazon’s big data web services to launch your first big data application in the cloud? Jorge Lopez walks you through big data processing by building a data bus comprising ingestion, storage, processing, analysis, and visualization using a combination of open source technologies, including Apache Hadoop, Spark, and Zeppelin, and AWS managed services, such as Amazon EMR, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Athena, and Amazon S3. Along the way, Jorge covers architecture design patterns and best practices for big data applications and gives you access to a take-home lab so that you can rebuild and customize the application yourself.
