Learn about the data innovations that have the potential to blindside even the most careful organizations. Aimed at decision makers, the Emerging Technology program focuses on how data-oriented startups, academics, and venture capitalists approach innovation and the potential for innovative technology to disrupt incumbent business models. Session topics include AI, machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and beyond, across a number of industry segments. Attendees can expect an expansive program providing lessons and insights into what’s possible and how to embrace innovation.

Track host

Roger Chen is currently trying to float in zero gravity. Previously, he was a principal at O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures (OATV), where he invested in early-stage startups bringing enabling technologies to market. He also spent a past life as a scientist and engineer, tinkering with photons and electrons at the nanoscale. Roger has a BS from Boston University and a PhD from UC Berkeley, both in electrical engineering.
