Bijan Salehizadeh is a Managing Director and co-founder at NaviMed Capital, a Washington, DC based venture capital firm specializing in later stage investments in HCIT and health services. Bijan was previously a General Partner at Highland Capital Partners where he led the west-coast healthcare practice.

Prior to his career in venture capital, Bijan trained as a physician and has several years of operating experience in digital health and medical technology.

Truven Health

Anthony Gerardi is a healthcare executive with a proven track record developing and deploying innovation strategies to drive organic growth and acquisitions, partnerships and strategic investments in healthcare IT, healthcare services, other healthcare segments and other industries. He worked globally with companies such Thomson Reuters (now Truven Health Analytics), SKT Telecom, and GE to develop innovation strategies, new offerings, and customer experiences in healthcare and other markets. His private equity career started at GE, as an investor he has successfully accelerated the growth of portfolio companies. Private equity investments included Insight Health, R2 acquired by Hologic and Bravo Health acquired by HealthSpring/Cigna.

Anthony has led colleagues and clients through the entire growth and innovation strategy process from research and ideation to implementation, including mergers and acquisitions and organic growth. This includes leading global teams to create innovation strategies and transform company cultures, developing new business models, brands, offerings, and customer experiences for public and private companies.

Anthony was the practice leader for Doblin, a leading innovation strategy firm, during its accelerated growth and sale to Monitor. Prior to Doblin he co-led the innovation and strategic private equity group for MetLife, improving performance of business units through innovation strategies, external strategic investments, and partnerships. His private equity background includes leading investments for MetLife, Divine, and General Electric (GE) with over $100 million of investment experience.

Anthony has accumulated a strong track record in healthcare as a strategist and active investor, using innovation strategies and design methods to improve performance and financial results through organic growth, acquisitions, partnerships and strategic investments.

Michael Greeley

Flybridge Capital Partners

Michael is a General Partner at Flybridge Capital Partners and is excited about investment opportunities involving the convergence of healthcare and information technologies, as well as in the specialty finance and business services industries. One of his current investment themes is around the application of “Big Data” platforms across a number of industry verticals. Previously, Michael was with Polaris Venture Partners, where he focused on both early-stage and later-stage financings for emerging growth companies. Before Polaris, Michael served as Senior Vice President and Founding Partner of GCC Investments, was a Vice President and one of the early professionals at Wasserstein Perella & Co., was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Department of Morgan Stanley & Co. and worked in the Leveraged Buyout Group of Credit Suisse First Boston.

Michael currently serves as Chair of the Entrepreneurship Committee of the Massachusetts Information Collaborative, as co-Founder of the 12×12 program, on the board of the New England Investors’ Committee of Capital Innovation, and was recently appointed a Venture Capital Consultant for the Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative (DeVenCI), an initiative for the Department of Defense. He previously served on the board and Executive Committee of the National Venture Capital Association and as Chairman and President of the New England Venture Capital Association.
Michael received a BA with honors in Chemistry from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
