Oliver Chen is a chapter lead at DataKind Singapore. This is a volunteer position, and in his day job he’s a partner at Global Valuation Ltd. He was previously a Deputy Director at the Risk Management Institute (RMI) at the National University of Singapore. He had served a number of roles at RMI, including deputy lead of the Credit Research Initiative and director of the Master of Science in Financial Engineering Program. Oliver was a member of the Advisory Board for the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks 2015 report, and received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Toronto in 2004.
